How to Prepare a Design for Custom Clothing Printing
A clear brief makes it easier to assess your custom clothing idea and quote accurately. This checklist is designed for Moda & More’s Made for Me enquiries, whether you have finished artwork or only a starting idea.
1. Gather the clearest artwork you have
Send the original logo or design file where possible. A screenshot or a photo of an existing print may lose detail and include an unwanted background. Tell us which colours and wording must be preserved. We will review the supplied artwork and discuss any preparation or design work required.
2. Identify the garment and print positions
State whether you want a T-shirt, hoodie, polo, cap or apron. Include garment colours and every print area, such as a chest logo and a separate back design. A reference image can explain the intended look, but it does not replace the final artwork or confirmed garment specification.
3. Create one quantity and size list
List each garment type, colour and size with its quantity. Keep individual names or text in a separate clearly labelled column. Check the totals and spelling before submitting. Mixed garments, different print designs and personalised details should be identified explicitly so the quote includes all the work.
4. Supply your deadline and approve the final design
Give the date you need the finished clothing and mention delivery requirements. Confirm that you have permission to use any supplied artwork. We will review the request, provide a quote and estimated turnaround, and agree the design with you before printing. Changes to the approved specification need discussing before production.
Common question
